What happened to Titanic Ship actually..?

You see... metals undergo yielding till some point. But brittle ones break when impact is there just like glass. Titanic was travelling in very cold waters which made the metal (ship made up of) kinda brittle in nature. When it hit the ice berg, it got shattered like glass and water kept coming in. Eventually it sank. Understanding these phenomenon helped people to manufacture materials which can overcome this kind of problem (brittleness).

Plantation on mountains.. very high

There is frequent rainfall and soil erosion on very high mountains and very cloudy.. Because of these reasons the plantation on very high mountains contains of very small plants ... some grass families... People in such areas use the same plants to build boats... Believe it or not..!!

Plantation in cold or icy places

I came to know recently that the trees in icy places like himalayas etc.. have very dark leaves. As the sunlight is rare, and the place is cold, they evolved in such a way that they have to take as much heat as possible (the amount they require) from the environment (sun). Hence the leaves are dark to absorb more heat...

Ever wondered about this matter ..?

Vulture... I wonder why..!!

I read a few books of this series. Its cool to find out there are people who think similar to you. I read that vultures are bald for a reason. The thing is they pierce their beak into the prey body in a way their heads totally will move into the prey body. So if there are any feathers etc on the head it will spoil the food. Hence they are bald...

Innovation i guess..!

I heard from my teacher that Deer can hear even the slightest sound. And at the same time Tiger can walk without making the slightest sound... isn't it cool. Just like creating a program and another program which can hack it. At nights small animals like rats, etc come out of their earth holes and roam around in search of food. The owl too. Its very difficult to catch the prey if it hears any sound. Isn't it? Thats why the feathers of owl are in such a way that it can move fast in air without making a slightest sound... and also another feature is its capable of rotating its head 360 Degrees.

Why deserts have sand..?

In deserts the winds blow at high speeds. Along with them the dirt, light granules of rock are carried. These act as sand paper to the rocks present in the areas. So, as the winds blow across the rocks, it will scrape the rocks surface and generates more granules of rock.... eventually after infinite (long time) years the deserts have become sandy areas..!!

Ice skating

Ice skating people have shoes will blades. These blades are very sharp (very small area rests on ice) that they create immense pressure (force/area) on the ice surface when they stand over ice. When the pressure is high, the temperature increases and ice melts and forms drops. These drops are very small size that the surface tension can keep it in spherical shape. So they act as if they are some iron balls under the skating blades, which just makes the blade (shoe) to slide over the drops, making the surface almost friction less. So cool huh..!!
